07/29/2025 Absolutely unacceptable experience. This office refused to verify my dental insurance before my child’s appointment for whatever reason and insisted I pay the full amount out-of-pocket with the promise I’d be reimbursed once they submitted the claim. I trusted them and that was a mistake.
On numerous separate occasions, they have verified that they do in fact owe me money and “will figure out a way to reimburse you whether that be in the form of a credit on your account or a written check”. Not only was I never reimbursed, but after 2.5 YEARS of follow-up regarding this matter and mentioning it at every single appointment, they are now telling me they’re “unable” to refund me at all. This was their mistake, and now I’m stuck paying for something insurance should have covered.
It’s incredibly frustrating, dishonest, and shows a complete lack of accountability. Parents should not have to fight to get their money back, especially when the error was on the office’s part. Be very cautious if you choose to bring your child here, and do not agree to pay out-of-pocket unless you have proof in writing that you’ll be reimbursed. lyndsey simmons Google

05/30/2025 I don’t believe this office intended harm — I think they made a mistake. But anesthetics must be handled with the utmost care and clear communication.
Nitrous oxide was administered to my son after I had declined it. I was not invited back to the treatment room. He was told he was being given oxygen. He asked three times if it was just oxygen, and each time he was told yes. Shortly after, his vision blurred and he couldn’t see his own fingers clearly. He took off the mask and came out to find me, shaken and dizzy. It was scary for him.
The intention to administer any drug should be verbally confirmed with a parent directly before it is administered. Or parents should be invited into the treatment room during procedures involving sedation.
This office is typically kind and reliable, but this was a serious lapse. I’m not sure why the office didn’t reach out directly instead of twice requesting I leave a Google review after this experience? 🤷🏻♀️ Karen Gaskill Google
05/14/2025 Dr. Myer's office is clean, well-run, and professional. I've brought all 4 of my kids here since this location opened. He is very knowledgeable in prevention of cavities as well as early orthodontics during the growing years. The hygienists are all very professional, friendly, and kind. 03/10/2025 I have been taking both my sons to Myers on Hodges for many years now and they are fantastic! I have an older special needs son who see Keisha (not sure if I spelled her name right) and she is the best with special needs kiddos. She absolutely has a heart for these kids and even calls them her "specials". I highly recommend this place for kids in general but especially if you have a special needs child. She is the best! 12/17/2024 Got this the day of my daughter's appointment that was less than 3 hours away. I didn't book an appointment at the other location because this office had dates open sooner. Now I'll be lucky to have one by February and she has 2 cavities that need to be filled. They obviously don't care about the patients. Also called the number over 40 minutes ago to reschedule and have yet to hear ANYTHING back. Pathetic. Madison Clark Google

09/19/2024 I’ve been bringing my son to Myers since he was about 4 and he’s 9 now. I always recommend Myers to people I know with kids because they are true saints for how great they are with children. They have helped teach my son and I what to do to keep his teeth cavity free by flossing sticks and changing things in his diet. My son once had a tooth pulled and he had no idea what was going to happen before it was out of his mouth. They have a true craft in making children feel comfortable at the dentist. The staff has always worked us in on any major issues needing immediate attention. Myers is the best around! Amber Miller Google
08/07/2024 Been taking my now 11 year old daughter here for about a year for cleanings and check ups. She needed 2 stubborn baby teeth pulled, so I took her in today to see Dr. Kay. Totally blown away with the service. They worked with the speed and precision of a NASCAR pit crew. We were in and out of there in well under an hour, the whole procedure could not have lasted more than 15 minutes. Dr. Kay sang and chatted happily with my daughter the entire time. When she was finished, my daughter said what just happened… totally oblivious. Huge win. Thanks ladies for the great service today. Meredith Holladay Google
