06/03/2025 Dr. Gary Myers expertise is truly exceptional, 10/10!
We sought out this practice for a second opinion for my daughters (now 10 and 12) and have been patients of Dr Myers since infancy. Dr. Myers provides a thoughtful, conservative yet thorough approach and always delivers with the utmost care. BEST dentist there is!!

05/22/2025 We ( our 4 children) have been patients of Dr. Myers for approx 9 years. At some point during that 9 years they became out of network for Tricare military policy holders. This was fine because the prices for the many procedures between the 4 had to have done in the years was still reasonable. We were also still never charged for 2 cleanings per year, per child. Even being out of network the quality of care was worth the reasonable out of pocket expenses.

In February, we brought all 4 of our children for a cleaning. At check out they said “ alright that will be $450”
My JAW DROPPED. I was confused. I was shocked and mostly I was u prepared for this kind of a bill!
She said “yes we are out of network so these are the out of network costs for cleanings”
I explained that we have NEVER been charged for cleanings!
They also tried to tack on an additional $150 from a previous procedure that I was quoted and paid the quoted amount for at the time of service.
I ended up in the office of the manager, Keisha. She did in fact, look up our history and realized that we were not paying previously for cleanings! Despite being “out of network “.
The fact that they suddenly started charging without letting us know AT the time of BOOKING was WRONG. Who likes to be surprised with a $450 bill when they were expecting to pay $0?
No business should be run this way. Price transparency is absolutely necessary!

We found a new dentist that is in Network.

In the midst of transition, our son’s tooth which had a space maintainer on it became bothersome. We called Myers, since they Installed the spacer, and asked if we could bring him in to get checked out. We ASKED ( due to our previous experience with surprise charges ) what the price would be when we bring him in to get checked out. The woman at the front desk stated “ no fee for that”

Well, not to our surprise, at check out my husband was asked to pay $109 for an exam fee! Unbelievable! Again, confused, he asked how this could be. She stayed because they needed to examine to determine the cause of the irritation there would be an exam fee…… we literally asked over the phone before we came what the charge would be! She argued with my husband and admitted to saying no fee if it was the space maintainer causing issues, but that wasn’t the question we asked during the phone call prior to the visit. Also; an exam is needed regardless to figure out what the issue is, even if it is the space maintainer. So her point is mute. She had my husband stand there for 15 minutes while she went to get the office manager. Instead she showed up alone again to argue some more. “ I don’t work in the back; I can’t give you accurate information”
Meanwhile the other receptionists are apologizing to my husband, I’m assuming they feel bad.

This is the LAST straw with Myers! It’s a shame because Dr. Myers is a wonderful dentist.

P.s. if you avoid fluoride like we do, and have it in your child’s chart, be aware that they will still recommend sealants etc for your kids even though they KNOW the sealants contain fluoride.
