The Doctors

Donnie A. Myers, D.D.S.

"Dr. Myers" opened the doors of Myers Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics in 1975. He earned both his dental degree and pediatric certification from the University of Tennessee and served as a faculty member at the Dental School. He received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and is a proud Seminole.

Dr. Myers is a member of the Clay County Dental Society, the Florida Dental Association, and the American Dental Association, as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Orthodontic Society. He is also a member and President of the Florida Dentofacial Study Club and has served as a regular lecturer for study clubs in Orlando, Florida and Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. Myers and Dr. Gary regularly volunteer with Christina Smiles, a non-profit organization connected with the PGA tournament committed to restoring children's smiles.

Dr. Myers lives on Fleming Island with his wife Peggy. They are involved in their church Pinewood Presbyterian and frequently serve as volunteer small group leaders for Crown Financial Ministries, an organization teaching biblical principles for handling money.

Gary R. Myers, D.M.D.

"Dr. Gary" joined the practice in 2001 after completing a residency program in pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University. As a native of Orange Park and graduate of Orange Park High School, he is excited to be home and cherishes the opportunity to work with his father. Dr. Gary graduated from the University of Florida Dental School in 1998 after earning a degree in chemistry from Furman University.

He is a member of the Clay County Dental Society, the Florida Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Gary is also a member of the Florida Dentofacial Study Club. He has published research on oral sedation techniques in the leading journal for the profession, the AAPD Journal.

Dr. Gary lives near Lake Asbury with his wife Julie, sons Logan and Graham, and dog Mugley and is active in his church at Grace Covenant Church of Jacksonville, a church plant of Sovereign Grace Ministries. Dr. Gary is an avid runner and has been a sponsored runner for 1st Place Sports in Jacksonville. For the last five years, the office has been an official sponsor of the Children's Run at the River Road Resolution 5K, a Florida Striders race that raises money for local schools.

Nesia — Patient Communications

Nesia gives every new patient a warm welcome to the practice. Her high level of compassion, love of children, and teaching background make covering treatment options and financial arrangements a pleasant and motivating experience.

Nancy — Front Desk

Nancy greets every patient with a smile, brightened by Dr. Myers with braces and veneers. Her children saw Dr. Myers when they were younger, and now her grandchildren visit Dr. Gary.

Linda — Front Desk

Need to schedule an appointment? Linda will schedule your new patient visit or smile check-up while making you feel as if you are talking to an old friend.

Cindy — Front Desk

Cindy gives our patients an easy and seamless check-out experience. She will make sure you are offered convenient appointment times and leave with all your concerns addressed.

Farah — Front Desk

Farah matches Cindy in providing our patients an excellent check-out experience. She can help answer your questions too. Our business staff members have attended University of Florida courses on Clinical Pediatric Dentistry and are very familiar with our practices and procedures.

Keisha — RDH — Hygienist

Keisha graduated from both the FCCJ dental assisting and hygiene programs where she had the opportunity to intern with our office. Since 2003 she has worked as our hygienist and does a tremendous job cleaning teenagers' teeth with braces because of her ortho assisting experience. She is passionate about keeping your teen's mouth clean.

Michelle — Dental Assistant, Operative

Our newest addition, Michelle, brings 5 years pediatric dental assisting experience and a heart for working with children. You can feel confident knowing we have seasoned assistants like Michelle working alongside Dr. Gary should your child require extensive dental treatment.

Elaina — Dental Assistant, Operative

Elaina works closely by Dr. Gary’s side and is especially skilled at assisting his sedated patients. She has worked at the practice for over 5 years.

Sherry — Dental Assistant, Operative

Sherry was one of Dr. Myers' patients as a child and began assisting him over 10 years ago. Now she's an experienced mom who treats her patients like they're one her own. Amazingly, she looks almost as young as the day she started working here!

Sharon C. — Dental Assistant, Hygiene

Sharon knew she wanted to work here before she even moved to Jacksonville. During a family visit, Sharon was asked to take her grandson to his dentist appointment. It was then she decided to return to dentistry - and work for her grandson's dentist. She loves working with little ones all day long and enjoys putting smiles on their faces.

Trish — Dental Assistant, Orthodontics

Trish has worked with Dr. Myers for over 20 years and serves as your child's coach, motivator, and friend while he or she wears braces. She is involved with their orthodontic treatment from start to finish.

Katie — Dental Assistant, Orthodontics

Katie has years and years of dental experience. Tall and commanding, she knows how to have fun and gives her teenage patients the tough love they sometimes need to stay on top of their hygiene.

Andi — Sterilization Coordinator/Dental Assistant

Andi runs our two state-of-the-art sterilization centers ensuring all our instruments are clean and safe. She is also an actress and may be caught entertaining your child and causing them to laugh uncontrollably.
